the reward that is sukothai

yesterday, after triumphantly declaring i'm no longer touching the singing and dancing presentation i prepared via powerpoint, i was greeted by a happy husband who told me he needs the same celebration too. he after all, also finished his monthly university marks (he marks students works which were already marked by lecturers, but he has to do a second marking to make sure, the lecturers are meeting the standard of critiquing the papers).

i was jubilant. more so because he said he was craving for thai food. he wanted to go to trafalgar's thai square, but i was too lazy to drive to the city just for food. i was happy to get it local where we like their pad thai.

my wishes and prayers granted. the last time i ate there was late last year.

its love at first bite at this place.

my constant date.

the place was empty on a sunday night. perfect to take photos..

assorted starters..chicken satay, prawn toast, verg spring roll, crab pinchers and prawn dumplings;-)

small and cozy. and warm.

sweet and sour king prawn

pork with ginger, pepper, coriander in oyster sauce

the special fried rice, mine and adrian's fave..i mix it with ordinary jasmine rice to lessen its strong taste.

fragrant jasmine rice

MY order...definitely the seabream for me. deep fried and topped with sauce and spices..

beef in soy sauce and basil..;-)

the infamous pad thai..sweet,savoury,and everything lingering..

***

food. definitely a topic to get me going.

and smiling.

Hehe, thanks Chel! But I'm sure my cooking is not as good as these.

Chel, you have Nikon, right? What lens did you use for these, if you don't mind me asking?
