updates of my girls

*photo: a shop in carnaby street

*my friend Leah is in between two amazing job offers right now, both that will utilize her managerial skills and the other utilizes her artistic eye (on top of her accessories business). i'm so proud of her. she also is high on the "love' department at the moment. im on the edge of my seat, waiting for the next update.

*my friend Loien will be reunited with her daughter after how many years of waiting for her, in the US. and she's also forgiven the man who gave her a big heartache. her closures opened up a lot of wonderful new beginnings.

*my friend Ruth and her husband just recently completed their house in Mactan. such a beautiful house with Kenneth Cobonpue furnitures and a beautiful pool. she's also just come back diving in Palawan. and she agreed for me to take photos of her house when i go home, yes. whoopee!

*my friend (i forget that were cousins too) Kharla is going to Hawaii in time for her birthday. that was her incentive for being an excellent employee. so proud of her.

she's still active at St.John, and is currently busy with a young family whose son is currently a cancer patient. the family is not able to buy medicine and nutrition for this young boy and she and her friends are helping them currently. im so proud of her.

*Ana is doing well in her internship. Apart from doing the PR for the company, she also teaches part-time. And as early as now,she already has got a job offer.

She also has organized a summer dance workshop in our local barangay to teach chldren and teenagers dance activity for the summer. As we live in an area where there are alot of families that cannot afford summer workshops for their children, she has organized a free summer dance programme where moms can enrol their kids for the summer. And she has organized the summer recital for them too.I wish i was there. Id definitely help.

*Mama is busy with her mini-internet business. She has a a few computers and printers which is being rented by the hour. Since we live in faraway area in Minglanilla, she has quite a few good customs daily. She's also busy with her community service at the local baranggay and she's now part of the women's group.

I'm so proud of thankful for these positive influence of people in my life.

And of course, for you. for giving me inspiration, day in and out.

updates on my part:

*currently halfway my research. im in love with my topic. "dance,as a leisure pursuit and its effect to mental health". exciting topic don't you think?

*did a commissioned photoshoot on Wednesday for a baker's website. remember my bread baking teacher? she asked me to take photos for her site, and she was going to pay me for 4x baking lessons/sessions (ex-deal,hehe). I said to hasten it, i asked Adrian to take my place,as Adrian is the baker between myself and him.

*is in the process of volunteering a day a week to the local hospice..waiting for my CRB clearance. (more of it). i have more time in my hands by June as i have no uni by then.

*although i finish my course this year (and work as a licensed therapist this year,YAYY!), the graduation ceremony is not until next year (dont ask,we,the student body has been arguing this with the university faculty why the ceremony is a year after. the excuse was that, the graduation ceremonies in the university is early on in July, while the marks/grades arent handed in by our Sciences Department until August,so thats why,our marks come in after the graduation ceremony is of the school, thus we have to wait for the ceremony the year after).

In a way,its good so i can have my mama and my sister come over for my ceremony Yabadabadoo!

If you are here we would be so delighted to have you as the hospice person for my Mom. Am sure you will make a difference in the remaining days of your patients. And can't wait to taste home made breads by Adrian. Hey that could be a good business in Cebu when you retire there - artisanal bread.

i love the photo. hehehe. cute kaayo. i love that your girls are doing very well (apil ka).

as for me, active gihapon ko sa sinulog nz activities. we do a quarterly activity each year, do a newsletter for each activity prior to the actual sinulog. this keeps me busy aside from work and of course when i find time, mag picture picture kay my 365 faces project do need some fresh faces. =)
i haven't updated my blog for ages. but i'm happy that despite that, i am still able to keep in touch with everyone. thanks to FB. i don't twitter kay i just can't find the time. but i try best to keep up to how everyone is doing. it does makes me happy to read that all is doing well. just like family.

i would have loved to do that Ate Lou..by third week of June, while some papers are being sorted out in my work that i no longer have uni, i have time to spare to do volunteer work..i want to work in hospices..i know it will break my heart, but id rather be busy doing that, than vegetate..
Adrian is now very good with making artisan breads...he makes (baguette, fougasse and pain de campagne by hand)..im not sure if he wants to do it as a business, but im sure he wants to make them for family and friends..;-) thanks ate lou..send my love to your Mama..

So much good happening for you, Chel! I am very happy for you. I am happy when my friends are happy. As for me, been traveling and really busy at work, but I'm hanging in there because I have so much to look forward to in the next few weeks--my family's visit and a well-deserved vacation. Yippee for us both!!! :-)
