i always thank heavens for having the most down-to-earth,grounded woman as my mother.

the first and only woman whose acknowledgement and approval i constantly seek until today.

i pray for good health and more 'apo's for my mama, as well as all the laughter she can have in one sitting.

and a continued productive meaningful life she enjoys.

talking to my Mama about her recent activities tickle me, you just dont know what to expect from one phonecall to the next.

i rang her at 2 am this morning UK time, (whilst in the middle of partying with girlfriends in a farmhouse cottage). she was at church that time.

when i rang her in the afternoon (UK time), she filled me up about recent visitors from her side of the family, the ongoings in her household, and the recent 'skirmish' about the elections, and her thoughts about it.

if she wasn't my own mother, id definitely hang out with her. not only is she a fun and funny person to be with, she definitely has the kindness and warmth you want from a friend you want to pour your feelings to, and still get the compassion and loyalty you rarely get nowadays.

tonight, i also thank the people who brought my friends to this world..they are precious gifts to my life, my friends..

so i thank all my aunties (for my cousins), my tita's and my adopted moms for beautiful beings called my friends..
